After many days of sunshine, it’s time to get back to work, back to the city, and you might feel the need to give your face a little boost. This raises the question: should you opt for a filler treatment or Seffiller? What’s the big difference?
A filler is a material already prepared in a syringe, which can be hyaluronic acid or other filler materials, and it can be absorbable. Its function is to fill and plump up the skin.
Seffiller, on the other hand, is an autologous regenerative therapy that, thanks to the Seffiller technique, can now be done in a clinic with a standard aesthetic medicine treatment. So, the choice is between filling and regenerating. Filler plumps up the skin, while Seffiller regenerates it thanks to the action of growth factors, stem cells, and exosomes found in adipose tissue.
Filler treatment is usually quicker, taking about ten to fifteen minutes. Seffiller treatment, however, takes about half an hour, even three-quarters of an hour, or fifty minutes. So, Seffiller is certainly a slightly longer treatment compared to filler.
Regenerative therapy is done once or twice a year, while filler, being absorbable, can be repeated three or four times a year. Therefore, Seffiller is repeated less frequently than filler. Additionally, filler generally has a lower cost per session compared to Seffiller. Over the course of a year, considering the number of sessions, there might not be a significant difference, but filler is certainly a more economical treatment compared to Seffiller.
The result of filler is a filling effect, plumping and volumizing the tissues, but without truly treating them. Seffiller, on the other hand, regenerates the tissues, giving the skin more tone. The result is therapeutic, thanks to the growth factors, mesenchymal stem cells, and exosomes, with an effect that, in my opinion, is much more natural and more effective in anti-aging treatment.
With this information, I hope to have clarified the difference between filler and Seffiller. Keep in mind that, in some cases, they can also be combined, as some fillers, like hydroxyapatite, also have a biostimulatory capacity. Therefore, combining a biostimulatory filler with a cell-based regenerative therapy certainly provides an excellent result.
Of course, the treatment is always very personalized, but it’s important to clearly understand the difference between a filler, which is not entirely natural and less safe, and Seffiller, which uses your own tissue, ensuring maximum safety and care for your skin.
