The evolution of aesthetic surgery is driven by research, field experience, and sharing results with the international scientific community.
After 22 years dedicated to perfecting the endoscopic lift and with 784 cases performed, I am proud to share a significant professional milestone: the publication of my latest scientific article in the prestigious journal Frontiers in Surgery.
In this video, I recount the journey that led to the codification of MIVEL (Minimal Incisions Vertical Endoscopic Lift) and how this technique has changed the paradigm of facial rejuvenation.
An International Validation
The publication in Frontiers in Surgery is not just a personal achievement, but a confirmation of the validity of the MIVEL method. The article analyzes in detail how it is possible to achieve facial rejuvenation that is simultaneously effective, long-lasting, and respectful of the patient’s anatomy.
The goal I have pursued over these years has always been one: to overcome the limits of the traditional facelift to offer a result free of visible scars and with an extremely natural appearance.
MIVEL: The Vertical and Personalized Approach
Unlike the horizontal techniques of the past, which often led to that “pulled” and artificial look, MIVEL utilizes a vertical vector. This allows us to reposition tissues exactly where they were years ago, counteracting gravity without distorting the features.
As I explain in the video, the strength of this method lies in its extreme personalization. There is no “one-size-fits-all facelift,” but three specific variations based on the area to be treated:
- MIVEL I (Focus on Gaze): For those who wish to open up their gaze, lift the eyebrow, and obtain, if desired, a “Foxy Eyes” effect.
- MIVEL II (Focus on Mid-Face): Intervenes on the central area of the face, restoring the volume of cheekbones and cheeks.
- MIVEL III (Full Face): The most complete procedure, which also redefines the jawline and the facial oval.
Minimal Invasiveness, Maximum Result
One of the key points discussed in the scientific article is the reduced surgical impact. Performed in Day Surgery (outpatient) and under sedation, MIVEL allows for a much faster social recovery compared to traditional surgery, eliminating the stigma of visible pre-auricular scars.
